FAQ

Common questions about renting cameras, drones and gadgets from GetGadget in Thailand: deposits, ID requirements, delivery, whether tourists can rent, and what happens if gear is damaged.

What is GetGadget?
GetGadget is a Thailand-based rental service for 360 cameras, action cameras, compact cameras, drones and game consoles. Gear is rented by the period and delivered to your address anywhere in Thailand, so you can use it for real before deciding whether to buy. There is no shop to visit — the service is delivery-only.
Where in Thailand do you deliver?
Nationwide, including Bangkok and other major cities. Same-day delivery is available for confirmed rentals; delivery time depends on the destination.
Can tourists rent from GetGadget?
Yes. You will need photo ID for verification and an address in Thailand for delivery and collection — a hotel address is fine. Payment is by credit card or PromptPay.
What do I need to rent?
Your contact details and a delivery address, ID for verification, and payment of the rental fee plus a refundable deposit by credit card or PromptPay.
How much is the deposit and when do I get it back?
The deposit varies by item and is shown on each product page. It is refunded in full once the gear is returned and checked as undamaged.
How does renting work, step by step?
1) Choose the gear and your rental dates. 2) Enter your details and delivery address. 3) Verify your identity with photo ID. 4) Pay the rental fee and deposit. The gear is then delivered to you.
What if the equipment is damaged during the rental?
Contact the team as soon as you notice a problem. Costs are assessed on the actual damage and deducted from the deposit; undamaged gear means a full refund of the deposit.
